Hi John -- On Wednesday, December 1st, join us for the closing event of our annual Fall Redistribution Pledge x Membership Drive, "Membership as Collective Power: A Cross-Org Conversation."

It's been ten years since RG started its membership-dues program and a lot has changed since then! Join us on Wednesday, December 1st at 7pm ET/4pm PT for our panel "Membership as Collective Power: A Cross-Org Conversation" to hear from leaders in other movement membership organizations about their:
- membership structures and cultures,
- how they’re thinking about membership, and
- what membership based organizations mean for our movements!
Our panelists will be:
Membership-based movement organizing has a long legacy. In 2011, RG created its membership-dues program as a way for young people with wealth to fund our own organizing and leadership development in social justice and to build power in solidarity with with poor and working-class led movements challenging racial capitalism. Now, 10 years later, we continue to work to strengthen our culture and work as a membership organization because we know that we’re stronger together and organizations are where we will be able to make the most change.
We’ve also been building a National Member Council where RG members can have a stronger voice and more decision making power in the organization. We’re continuing to think about what it means to be an RG member and what we want our membership culture to look like.
Join us to learn about membership as a political strategy and also get time to connect with other RG members about what you’d like to see in our membership culture.
*Who should attend? Whether you are thinking about becoming a dues-paying member of RG for the first time or have been involved as a chapter leader for years (or anything in between), you are welcome at this event!
Let’s build the membership organization of our dreams together!
In community,
Nicolle, Katie, Emily, Caroline, and the RG team
