These deadlines matter, especially to those of us who are keeping a close eye on the budget. They help me answer questions like:

  • Can we afford to build a grassroots operations in all 120 counties of Kentucky, including parts of the state where Democrats have traditionally failed to compete?
  • Do we have the resources to recruit and train all the volunteers we hope to bring on board in the months ahead?
  • Can we run the campaign we want to, building this the right way while being strong enough to stand up to Mitch McConnell’s attacks—and win?

Tomorrow, I want to look at our numbers and know that nothing will hold us back from running the campaign that can beat Mitch in 2020.
