Team,
In college, whenever I was feeling down, my roommate always told me “buck up, little cabbage.”
Well, today I am here to tell you to buck up if you are feeling discouraged about partisan gridlock — because we have a lot to be excited about.
As a team, we have worked hard to accomplish quite a bit at the federal level that we have every right to be proud of. First, if you can, please donate $25 or whatever you are able and help power this campaign >>>
Now, back to celebrating our successes. In the past few weeks alone, Democrats have:
✅ Passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework (BIF). The BIF will create good jobs and grow the middle class while making our economy more sustainable, resilient, and equitable. The BIF will reduce congestion, expand transit options, unlock economic opportunities and jobs, and position us to lead the global fight against climate change. For Georgia, this means nearly $1.5 billion to improve public transportation options, over $9 billion for roads, bridges, and safety, $135 million to support the expansion of an EV charging network, $100 million to help provide broadband coverage, over $900 million to ensure clean, safe drinking water for all communities, and over $600 million for infrastructure development for airports.
✅ Created over half a million American jobs with — on average — higher wages. Our bold fiscal policies are working, the American people are getting back on their feet, and our economy is slowly recovering.
✅ Negotiated the Build Back Better Package (BBB). This once-in-a-generation legislation will set the United States on course to meet our climate goals, create millions of good-paying jobs, grow our economy from the bottom up, and enable more Americans to join and remain in the labor force. The BBB includes the most transformative investment in children and families in generations — delivering free preschool for every 3 and 4-year-olds in the country, extending the Child Tax Credit, and expanding access to home care for older Americans.
Thanks to our hard work, the BBB will also close the Medicaid gap — reducing premiums for 9 million Americans and delivering health care to up to 4 million uninsured people. The BBB will invest in affordable housing, high-quality education, cut taxes for low-wage workers, and advance equity. All while creating the largest effort to combat climate change in American history.
We have so much more to do! I am grateful for your support as we work together to achieve real results for Georgians. If you can, please donate $25 to my campaign, and together we can keep fighting for Georgia values >>>
