The Latest Research, Commentary, And News From Health Affairs

Thursday, November 18, 2021
Dear John,

The newest GrantWatch column updates readers on funders’ support of palliative and end-of-life care.
Funders Support Palliative Care
The November 2021 GrantWatch column, by Lee L. Prina, focused on "Funders' Support Of Palliative And End-Of-Life Care."

Among interesting efforts mentioned is a program funded by the Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation and the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations supporting early-stage "nursing-driven interventions that seek to radically improve the provision of palliative and end of life care." Also, a California Health Care Foundation staffer explained to the journal that it plans to wind down its palliative care focus area.

Read in the column about what many more foundations around the United States are funding.
