THE OKLAHOMA DEMOCRATIC PARTY RESPONDS TO JULIUS JONES' COMMUTATION

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, NOVEMBER 18, 2021 – After learning that Julius Jones’ death sentence had been commuted to life without the possibility of parole, Alicia Andrews, Chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party, issued the following statement:

“The Oklahoma Democratic Party is relieved to learn that the sentence for Julius Jones has been commuted and he has the opportunity to live and continue to inspire meaningful conversation around criminal justice reform in the state of Oklahoma,” commented Alicia Andrews, Oklahoma Democratic Party Chair. STITT'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE EXECUTIVE ORDER ERASES MANY OKLAHOMANS

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, NOVEMBER 12, 2021 – Gov. Stitt has upped the bigotry game by declaring non-binary Oklahomans as nonexistent.

Stitt issued an insulting executive order blocking the Oklahoma Health Department from amending birth certificates and denying individuals the right to have documents show how they truly identify. Read more...

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, NOVEMBER 12, 2021 – While Democratic lawmakers are working hard for Oklahomans on issues important to their daily lives, Republican lawmaker Nathan Dahm is filing legislation that’s nothing more than political grandstanding for reelection.
