Folks,
Election day here in Virginia was just over two weeks ago, and we think it’s safe to say that the dust has finally settled.
Let’s start with the good news. We saw record turnout by Virginia voters. As Americans, we should all be reassured that Virginians are actively participating in the essential element of a vibrant democracy. Within the district, we elected and re-elected a diverse slate of candidates up and down the ticket.
Stewart was out across the district on Election Day helping with getting out the vote, and there are a few things that he learned we wanted to share.

We must do a better job of actively engaging with rural voters. Over the past four years, Democrats passed transformational legislation: Expanding Medicaid; Fully funding universal broadband access; Improving access to the ballot box; and so much more. We win when we run on WHAT we have done - and WILL DO - to make a material impact in our lives.

This is the United States of America, and the only way to win elections and govern effectively is to be united. It can’t be all red vs blue, rural vs urban, us vs them. That simply won’t work, and we saw that play out on November 2nd.
We have a chance to defy historical precedent in 2022 because Democrats ARE DELIVERING for the American people. But we can only win elections up and down the ticket if we’re united and willing to bring everyone along with us.
That’s the type of campaign Stewart is committed to running here in Virginia. That’s the type of campaign that we know can win. And we’re glad we’ve got your support along the way.
