The Brookings Institute estimated that between May and September of 2020, U.S. sanctions under Donald Trump were responsible for an additional 13,000 deaths from COVID-19 in Iran. As COVID-19 has continued to hit communities in Iran particularly hard, we are devastated to hear this news and cannot begin to imagine how many more lives have been lost.

It's critical that U.S. policies do not make the devastating effects of this pandemic even worse for Iranians. We told you this last week, but we’ve set a goal to raise $75,000 to be part of the solution in ending the humanitarian crisis abroad. So far we're short of our goal.
