Team,
Did you know that for nearly 20 years the Center has been a driving force behind advances in reproductive rights laws and policies in Asia? Our continued efforts and collaboration with partners have improved access to reproductive health care and advanced sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in the region.
By engaging with judicial representatives and experts, the Center helps them to recognize the importance of reproductive rights as human rights so they can become champions of SRHR in South Asia. The Center helped organize the first South Asia Regional Judicial Colloquium on Reproductive Rights in Kathmandu, Nepal, and brought together judges and judicial training academies from five countries in the region.
With the support of allies like you, our work has created transformative change, creating conditions for courts and lawmakers to protect SRHR as fundamental human rights.
And right now, your gift to help us continue this vital work will be MATCHED—dollar for dollar, up to $150,000—to make a real impact for people around the globe.
An external evaluation funded by Amplify Change found that our engagement within South Asia over a three year period has increased the number of SRHR champions within the judiciary system. Through training and resourcing, the Center is creating opportunities for reflections and discussions on the specific role of the judiciary in protecting the SRHR of women and girls in Asia.
Please make a year-end gift today to have DOUBLE the impact on this vital work.
Sincerely,
Prabina Bajracharya
Capacity Building Manager for Asia
