**B Stands for Blessings**

"What are you thankful for?" is the quintessential question during the
Thanksgiving season. As many families gather around the table after a
difficult couple of years, we certainly have many blessings to name.

I am especially thankful for those who work tirelessly to make
Thanksgiving happen. Healthcare workers who have battled the pandemic,
researchers who have produced life-saving vaccines, and farmworkers who
have kept food on our tables despite endless supply chain issues, have
all paved the way for us to be with those we love.

Roughly four out of every five farmworkers
 in
the United States is foreign-born, including about 70% who are
undocumented, and 20% of the transportation
industry - working
to get this food to our tables - is comprised of immigrant workers.
Over 2.6 million immigrants are healthcare

workers fighting COVID-19, and immigrants have played a leading role in
the development

of our vaccines.

Immigrants have been essential to our COVID-19 recovery and will remain
an integral part of who we are as a nation. As you enjoy delicious food
and long-awaited time with family, join me in giving thanks for those
who made it possible.

Happy Thanksgiving!
