Congress is currently negotiating the budget reconciliation bill known as the Build Back Better Act — transformational legislation that will expand healthcare for millions of Americans, lower drug prescription prices, and provide better coverage for our communities.

The Build Back Better Act will be the most significant healthcare investment since the Affordable Care Act. If passed, the $1.75 trillion package will do the following:

* Expand Medicare to include hearing coverage for seniors and people with disabilities
* Allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices and lower the cost of medications for tens of millions of Americans
* Reduce premiums for low-income people under ACA plans in states that opted out of Medicaid expansion

Unfortunately, pharmaceutical corporations and healthcare industry lobbyists are spending millions of dollars to cut out the most popular provisions of this bill so they can maintain their massive profits. That’s why we must raise our voices and demand Congress include the lifesaving Medicare expansion and prescription drug price reductions in the final bill.

Healthcare is a right, and every American deserves quality healthcare that is affordable. This is a core tenet we must not allow special interests to sabotage.
