Hey, it’s John.

I'm emailing you to ask if you'll please [ [link removed] ]kick in any amount at all to
UPMC's Solidarity Fund, as UPMC staff go on strike today for fairer wages
+ working conditions.

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a.k.a. UPMC, is the largest
private employer in our entire Commonwealth. And today, their workers are
flexing their collective power and exercising their right to strike for
the wages and conditions they deserve.

They’ve been our heroes during the pandemic — it’s time they’re treated
like it. ✊

[ [link removed] ]Please chip in any amount that makes sense for your budget to support
UPMC's Solidarity Fund. I am so proud to stand alongside them.

Look, John: UPMC workers have
shown up through all the challenges of the pandemic. Now, they need UPMC
to show up for them, too.

If you ask me, these essential workers deserve all of this and MORE:

✅ Livable wages
✅ Affordable healthcare without medical debt
✅ Paid leave
✅ And the right to form a union without interference

Shouldn’t UPMC, the state’s largest charity & private employer worth
BILLIONS, make sure none of our health care heroes are struggling to put
food on the table? To me, that's a no-brainer. So I hope you'll join me in
supporting UPMC staff walking the picket line right now by [ [link removed] ]chipping in
to the UPMC Solidarity Fund to support them while they're on strike.

Donate to the Solidarity Fund

The union way of life is sacred, and we should *always* protect it here in
Pennsylvania and across the country. Thanks for standing with me. 🙏

In solidarity,

John
