John — Congress is set to vote on President Biden’s Build Back Better Act as early as today. This vote is crucial, and should not have taken this long.

Our communities are still reeling from the economic impact of COVID-19. We all faced the debilitating effects of the global pandemic. And supporting President Biden’s budget will help our communities recover.

But our representative, Henry Cuellar, has stood in the way of President Biden’s Build Back Better Act while pretending he supports it. He has opposed many key aspects of the budget, such as tackling the climate crisis. Our community has had enough of Cuellar’s refusal to do what’s right.

The progressive coalition in Congress has repeatedly held the line to pressure conservative Democrats, like Cuellar, from completely watering down the budget President Biden proposed to uplift communities across the country.
