Greedy pharmaceutical companies have raised the price of insulin in the U.S. by more than 1,400% over the past 25 years, forcing people to pay hundreds of dollars a month for a life saving medication that costs drug companies less than $6 to make.
Now, they are fighting to save their profits by fighting against efforts to lower prescription drug prices.
The pharmaceutical industry spent $90.6 million on political contributions during the 2020 election cycle and deployed so many lobbyists that they outnumber members of Congress 3 to 1.
No one should die because they cannot afford life saving medications.
