New Hampshire Senator Maggie Hassan barely won her Senate race in 2016 by a margin of just 1,017 votes. Now, she's up for reelection again in a race that will determine control of the Senate in 2022.
GOP candidate Don Bolduc told The New Yorker he's doing “everything I possibly can” to align himself with Donald Trump. POLITICO reported Bolduc's claims that the 2020 election was rigged and that Joe Biden has plunged America into “a Marxist form of tyrannical government.” And according to some polls, he's cut Maggie Hassan's lead in half since the summer.
If Don Bolduc defeats Maggie Hassan, Democrats will lose our razor-thin 50/50 Senate Majority, and Mitch McConnell will regain control of the chamber. Then Donald Trump—who's already raised a war chest of $100 million for his reelection campaign—will run on his undeniable king-maker status in the Republican Party and retake the White House in 2024.
