As the voice for thousands of young Illinoisans, I am proud to stand with my colleagues and advocate for real plans to combat the climate crisis to protect future generations from the greatest threat of our lifetime.

President Biden recently attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). I want to share some of his words with you today:

“We meet with the eyes of history upon us… It’s simple: Will we act? Will we do what is necessary? Will we seize the enormous opportunity before us? Or will we condemn future generations to suffer?”

John, the climate crisis is an urgent threat. From rising temperatures and sea levels to unpredictable weather patterns like the massive California wildfires, President Biden is right: we need to take action now to protect future generations.

Will you sign on to support the Biden Administration's efforts to combat the climate crisis?

SIGN ON

As a grandmother to six and a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, I fight everyday in Washington to protect future generations. With your support, I have advocated for legislation to create new jobs aimed at green energy, enhance our energy independence and more.

And just this week, President Biden signed the infrastructure package into law which makes bold investments in clean energy and climate change protections, with even more to come in future legislation.

We are fighting hard for real plans to combat climate change. Today, I need you to take action against the greatest threat of our lifetime. Will you sign on to support President Biden’s efforts to protect our planet?

Thank you for taking action,

Jan Schakowsky
