John, when it comes to fundraising for our campaign, transparency is key.
In just a moment, I am going to ask you to take the next step in your support for Jamaal and make your first donation of any amount to our campaign, but first I want to let you into a behind-the-scene look at our ActBlue:
This is a screenshot of our fundraising since the start of the week — and as you can see, our fundraising momentum is starting to slow down.
When our fundraising slows down like this, we can't just call up a wealthy mega-donor or corporate PAC to help save the day with a single check. Instead, we turn to the power of the grassroots to help strengthen our fundraising and continue propelling this movement forward.
Our entire movement is powered by small-dollar donations to emails just like this one — so when we say every dollar counts, we mean it. And while at times this makes our fundraising efforts more difficult, running a grassroots movement allows our progressive campaign to remain 100% in line with our collective vision for change.
But dips in our fundraising could potentially stall our future plans and efforts to mobilize — and right now with so much at stake in our legislature, we can't afford to lose out on our momentum.
Thankfully, John, November isn't over yet. That means we still have time to strengthen our fundraising and close up the gaps so we continue planning for our future endeavors.
We can stay on track, but it's going to be a collective effort to make sure that we can do it. So, will you please chip in $3 or anything you can so that we can keep pace with our plans and continue growing our movement's momentum?
Let's do this,
Jesse Guy-Herman, Finance Director
