This Saturday we’ve got two big action days running — in two parts of the country — which are going to be pivotal if we’re to bring about the kind of change that Britain needs.

During the last week, Westminster has given countless more examples of why that change couldn’t be more important. We have a leaderless, directionless government, incapable of delivering on the promise our country offers, and we a vacuous, toothless opposition unable to hold anybody to account.

Our country has so much potential and there is so much it can achieve but for that to happen, the politics of Britain needs radical reform.

We can start delivering that change on the streets of Old Bexley and Sidcup and in North Shropshire, where we’re fighting hard in two crucial by-elections, but only with your help.

Here is just a taste of what we’re offering:

Zero Waiting Lists
Too many people are struggling to see a GP when they need to, hospital waiting lists are too long and our hospitals are not as safe as they should be. Healthcare in our country is in real need of Reform.
* We will always keep healthcare free at the point of delivery
* We would introduce a voucher scheme to achieve zero waiting lists
* We commit to putting patients in charge of their own healthcare

Cheaper Energy
Britain is in the grip of an entirely self-inflicted energy crisis. The Governments current net-stupid energy plans will destroy British jobs – sending them overseas, especially to China and will lead to huge increases in domestic bills every year to pay overseas-owned energy firms. This is both unacceptable and unnecessary
* We will nationalise 50% of our key utilities with the other 50% owned by UK pension funds
* We would stop overseas owners from profiteering from our critical infrastructure
* We commit to saving your boilers and significantly reducing consumer costs

Secure Our Borders
With all the benefits of Brexit, Westminster is still failing to stop countless boats of illegal immigrants from crossing the channel every day. Let’s welcome those who have high-level skills and talents but make clear that illegal immigration is not acceptable.
* We will welcome smart, lawful immigration which helps our economy
* We would put a stop to vile people smugglers
* We commit to a zero-tolerance attitude to illegal immigration

Lower Taxes
The ConSocialist Tories have raised taxes to the highest level for 70 years, penalising the least well-off the most. We need to grow our way out of the covid crisis, not tax our way back to Tory austerity.
* We will free up 6 million people from paying any income tax
* We would lift the minimum tax threshold from £12,500 p.a. to £20,000 p.a.
* We commit to freeing up a million SMEs from corporation tax

Clean up Westminster
How many times must we hear of another Westminster sleaze scandal before we say enough is enough? It’s time to stop voting for political parties who time and again let us down. That’s why Reform UK are committed to cleaning up Westminster.
* We will reform the unelected House of Lords
* We would change the rules that allow MP’s second jobs
* We commit to campaigning for a PR voting system

Five years ago it was the people of Britain, not the politicians, who freed our country from the shackles of the European Union and returned our independence. Now, we need to be the voice for those same people, to offer strong leadership, optimistic thinking and to be a party that has confidence in our collective future.

You can play a huge part in our efforts by making a donation to our campaign fund. We’ve been so grateful for all of the donations made so far but to really take advantage of these campaigns we need to spend every penny we can in getting our messages out to the people of Old Bexley & Sidcup and in North Shropshire. If every member donated just £20 we could easily cover the costs of both elections!

The one thing of which I’m entirely confident is that we have the best members of any political party, I’ve seen that on display countless times already whilst out campaigning. These next few weeks are going to be so important in building the foundation for what we want to do next.
