On Saturday, November 20, people who have been affected by suicide loss will gather at events around the world for International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day. Also known as Survivor Day, the event is an opportunity to connect with others in your local community who have also been affected by suicide, and who understand.

Preceding Survivor Day this year will be a special “Day of Hope / Dia de Esperanza” event, held in Spanish, which will specifically focus on serving suicide loss survivors in the Latinx community. The event will take place tomorrow, November 19 at 4 pm ET on Facebook Live [@afspnational]([link removed]).

Finally, in addition to Survivor Day events in local communities, we will be hosting a national online Survivor Day event on Facebook Live. The event will feature guests who are survivors of suicide loss and will share their own experiences of healing. “Survivor Day: Facebook Live” will also include a screening of the AFSP-produced film [“Family Journeys: Healing and Hope after a Suicide.”]([link removed]) You can tune in at 6 pm ET November 20 on Facebook Live [@afspnational]([link removed]).
