Dear John,

When Democrats won the House, the Senate, and the White House, we promised comprehensive immigration reform, including reuniting the families separated under the Trump administration, ending the racist Muslim ban, clearing the visa backlogs, and creating a pathway to citizenship for DACA and TPS recipients, farmworkers, and essential workers. And now, it’s time to deliver.

From advocating for keeping our promise to diversity visa recipients to working to reunite every family separated under Trump, I've taken real action to reform our broken system.

Immigrants are essential: to our communities, to our economy, to our future. We’ve seen that more than ever this year, as many immigrants worked on the frontlines of our economy, risking their health throughout the pandemic, and we must act accordingly.

I’ve been a leader in the fight for immigration reform for years, and I’m not backing down now. I'll continue to fight until every single child is reunited with their family; until workers are no longer forced to tolerate unsafe conditions due to the threat of deportation; until our visa backlogs are cleared; and until DACA and TPS recipients have a pathway to citizenship.

In solidarity,
Judy
