John,
After 2 days of driving our billboard truck around his New Jersey district, Rep. Josh Gottheimer finally came out with fulsome support for passing the Build Back Better Act this week!
But Gottheimer wasn’t the only Democrat standing in the way of a bill that would lower prescription drug prices, expand home and community-based long-term care services for seniors, and let Medicare cover hearing. Rep. Kathleen Rice was part of the bloc of Democrats who tried to stop Medicare from negotiating lower prescription drug prices in committee. And her district isn’t far from Rep. Gottheimer’s.
We’re driving our billboard truck across the Hudson River into Kathleen Rice’s district to keep up the pressure until the Build Back Better Act passes! Donate $7 to keep our truck on the road!
Rep. Rice not only voted against lowering drug prices when the provision was presented in the House Energy & Commerce Committee, she also joined Rep. Gottheimer’s blockade that kept Build Back Better from passing when the infrastructure bill did. Her constituents deserve to know that, and she needs to hear from them. That’s why these billboards work.
The House could vote on the Build Back Better Act as soon as tonight!
Keep the pressure on Democrats who are blocking critical investments in our seniors and families. Donate $7 to keep our billboard trucks on the road!
We’re almost there. We can’t stop fighting now.
Thanks,
