As House Majority Leader, it's my job to know just what we're up against next election. It is paramount that we protect our House majority, take back the Senate, and win the White House. But you can trust me when I tell you: It will be an uphill battle.

By the time Democrats have officially selected our party's nominee, Donald Trump and his allies will have had a three-and-a-half-year head start. The DNC is actively working to narrow their lead by organizing in key battleground states earlier than ever, overhauling our tech and data infrastructure, and holding Trump to task for his administration's lies and failed policies. But these essential efforts demand our support.
