In less than a year, Americans will once again head to the polls to elect a new Congress. If results follow those of recent years, it will once again bring many new faces to Washington.
In the last two midterms alone, a staggering 178 new members were elected to Congress (one out of every three members), and since 2008, turnover has reached 69% of the Senate and 75% of the House.
Each time a new member is elected, they can face immediate decisions affecting the U.S.-Israel relationship. This means the time to engage them is not when they take office; it's now.
It’s on us to meet with every viable candidate between now and Election Day to share AIPAC issue memos and collect candidate position papers.
It’s on us to prepare each incoming member with information they need before they cast critical votes affecting Israel for the very first time.
It’s on us to urge support for vital U.S. security assistance that provides Israel the resources it needs to defend itself by itself.
This takes tremendous resources, for which AIPAC needs an ever-increasing number of committed activists like you.
We know Israel’s detractors will also be trying to make their case…urging Congress to support boycotts of Israel...cuts in security assistance...and other efforts to isolate, demonize and delegitimize the Jewish state.
We need your help to provide Congress with the facts, counter those detractors, and stand strong with Israel.
