John,

I just got word that the Minnesota DFL has fallen behind the pace they need to hit their early organizing budget target. I’ll explain why it’s so important that they make up the difference in a moment, but for the sake of time, I’ll get right to it:

Will you join me in making a contribution that works for you today to help them close the gap? According to their fundraising team, they still need to raise more than $9,000 by 11:59 pm tomorrow, and your support right now is critical.

We’ve come a long way together over the past three years. Through successes and challenges alike, we stayed true to our DFL values and transcended the politics of fear and division.

Despite facing one of the only divided legislatures in the country, year after year, we secured historic investments in education, health care, and community prosperity in every corner of the state.

We took bold action on climate change, making Minnesota a clean car state – giving people more choices at the dealership, creating jobs, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

We faced the challenges brought on by COVID-19 the way Minnesotans always do when faced with hardship — with grit and resilience.

I couldn’t be more proud of the progress we’ve made. But in Minnesota, we know better than to quit before the job is done. Donald Trump is no longer president, but make no mistake: His Minnesota allies are as committed as ever to carrying his politics forward.

We’re in for a tough fight next year against a Republican Party that is relentlessly trying to undermine our democracy, spreading dangerous COVID-19 misinformation, attacking reproductive rights, and more.

The Minnesota DFL is leading the statewide effort to hold the line up and down the ballot. It’s a big job, and they need our support. If you can, join me and pitch in so they can continue the critical work we’re all depending on to keep Minnesota blue next year.

Thank you,

Tim Walz
