Dear Friend --
On behalf of ICAN and Peace Boat, I am
proud to invite you to the World Nuclear Survivors Forum 2021 taking
place online on December 2-3, 2021. This forum will
give you the unique opportunity to listen and learn from nuclear
survivors directly, about their fights for justice and why we must act
to eliminate nuclear weapons once and for all.

Survivors of nuclear weapons use and
testing around the world have witnessed first-hand what these weapons
really do, and their voices should be heard. This forum will allow for
communities impacted by nuclear weapons to virtually meet, learn from
each other, and input ahead of the first Meeting of States Parties for
the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) in March
next year.
The TPNW is the first international treaty
to require states to provide assistance to survivors of
nuclear weapons use and testing and begin to clean up nuclear
contaminated environments. Survivors should be at the center
of discussions on and implementation of these obligations.
The Forum will be open for anyone to join,
held over two time blocks and available for viewing directly on the
nuclearsurvivors.org website and on
Youtube. While registering is not required, you
can RSVP here to receive a reminder about the
Forum and how to access it on the day. If for any reason you can’t
make it to one of the sessions, the recordings will stay online.
We hope you will be able to join us on
December 2nd and 3rd!
Kind regards,
Beatrice Fihn Executive
