Trigger Warning: White Supremacist Violence
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
John,
Right now, a trial is deliberating on whether to find Kyle Rittenhouse
guilty of homicide after he murdered two activists and shot another at a
racial justice protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last summer.
We demand nothing less than justice,
John. That’s why Cori spoke out
on Twitter earlier this week to support the victims of white supremacist
violence. Cori shared that when she marched in Ferguson, white
supremacists would hide behind a hill near where Michael Brown Jr. was
murdered and shoot at protestors. They never faced consequences.
If Kyle Rittenhouse gets acquitted, it tells white supremacists that even
7 years later they still can get away with violence.
Ever since Cori spoke out, right-wing trolls have been attacking Cori and
accusing her of making up her experiences. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip
in $5 to show your support for Cori's work in Congress as
she leads work to defend Black lives and dismantle systemic racism in our
country? Your donation sends a loud message to white supremacists that
this movement isn't slowing down.

Ever since Cori was elected to Congress, white supremacists have been
furious at our progressive movement and have made countless violent
threats on Cori’s life.
Black and Brown voices in America are still being told to sit down, be
quiet. When we speak, we are ignored. When people on the far-right use
extremist, racist rhetoric in a cynical appeal to their base, they get
quoted on the national news.
Especially after what we saw on January 6th, it’s absurd that conservative
commentators and agitators put more energy into trying to disprove a
Congresswoman’s tweet than engaging in a substantive conversation about
addressing racist violence against communities of color.
Make no mistake — Donald Trump may be out of office, but the extreme right
echo chamber still dominates American media. That’s why it’s so critical
we show our support for Cori, especially now that she’s under fire for
speaking out in defense of Black lives.
Cori is committed to making progress in our work to deliver justice and
freedom for all, but the rise in attacks in response to Cori's action has
made it even more clear to us that white supremacists plan on fighting
harder than ever to slow down our movement.

and save lives? Make a $5 donation right now so we can send
a loud message to white supremacists that this movement is rising up for
justice.
In solidarity,
Team Cori
