Friend, what a few weeks it’s has been for Paul Gosar. First, he blocked us on Twitter, then he posted a quasi-fascist anime video that promoted violence against AOC. And today, he’s actually facing some consequences. Paul Gosar has been stripped of his committee assignments and censured by his colleagues in the House. And you guessed, every single member of The 147 voted to give Gosar a pass.

The violence won't stop until the violent rhetoric does. Donate now to re-elect a Congress that doesn't put up with death threats.

Friend,

It doesn’t sit right with us when the traitorous 147 try to wrap themselves in the American flag and we’re not afraid to get into their mentions and let them know. It must be working because on Monday Paul Gosar blocked us.

Then things got weird. That night Paul Gosar posted a video that edited 147 members into the title sequence of the popular anime Attack On Titan. Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene joined Paul Gosar in swinging from rooftops and stabbing giants with AOC and Biden’s heads superimposed on them. We tried to figure out what was going on by reading up on the anime, but of course, all we found were articles accusing the anime of having fascist and anti-Semitic overtones. Go figure.

After posting the video Paul Gosar was immediately called out for promoting political violence and threatening AOC. Initially, he tried to dismiss the point by saying it was, “just a cartoon,” but that defense doesn’t fly when you instigated an insurrection and sicced a violent mob on AOC on live television. Gosar’s team must have consulted a lawyer because the original post was ultimately deleted. The video continues to circulate online.

We cannot say it enough: The 147 are trying to use every trick in the book to make political violence mainstream. The same way Steve Bannon folded white supremacists into the Republican Party with euphemisms like “alt-right,” Gosar is now trying to get away with posting death threats on Twitter by saying, “it’s just a cartoon.” We won’t stand for it.

We are a nation of laws, not violence. If you agree with us that our country’s #1 priority needs to be a return to decency and constitutional order, donate $5 to our Congressional Victory Fund now.
