Since the 2020 elections, the GOP has been relentless with their attacks on our democracy — all because they are mad that they lost. After dozens of lawsuits and election audits no massive voter fraud was detected. Still, they have attempted to undermine our election process by casting doubt on its integrity with baseless election fraud claims and fueling Donald Trump’s Big Lie.

Republicans have used the filibuster to block federal voting rights bills like the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, the For The People Act, and the Freedom to Vote Act.

And across the country, Republican controlled legislatures have introduced voter suppression bills to block the millions of Black and Brown voters who ousted Donald Trump from voting.

And they are still mad they lost. Since the 2020 election, over 581 anti-voter bills have been introduced in 49 states and this year, 52 new anti-voter bills have been passed in 21 states with over one hundred bills still active as we approach the 2022 midterms.

And Ohio Republicans are no different. They introduced their first voter suppression bill, HB294 back in May and are attempting to leverage gerrymandering tactics with the redistricting of our state’s new congressional maps to lock in control for the next decade.

With the GOP controlling the Ohio State Legislature, the voices of Ohio voters are at high risk of being silenced.

We must defend our voting rights against suppression tactics that threaten our democracy. Through mobilization and organization, our movement is preparing to fight back with our voices and the power of the people, and we need you with us.
