John, believe it or not, today marks just six months until Pennsylvania’s primary election for U.S. Senate.

Dr. Val Arkoosh has been on the trail for months, connecting with Pennsylvanians and lifting up their stories, but the clock is ticking on the time we have to reach folks across the Commonwealth and make sure everyone knows what we know:

Paid leave, real action to combat climate change, higher wages, good-paying jobs — these issues impact the lives of every Pennsylvanian, from Philadelphia to Erie and everywhere between. Too often, some in Washington have spoken about the need for change, and then failed to follow through.

Val’s not just talk — she gets things done. As chair of Pennsylvania’s third-largest county, she’s helped secure a $15 minimum wage for county employees, put county-owned vehicles and heating systems on track to go 100% renewable by 2050, and supported efforts to protect the Delaware River Basin from harmful fracking.

That all-action, no-BS attitude is one that came from over two decades as a physician, seeing patients in the exam room and helping solve their problems. She knows firsthand that a problem ignored doesn’t go away, in the hospital or in our communities.

We need a candidate with this level of experience and determination to take on the Republicans in this race — who all came out against the historic bipartisan infrastructure law that’s going to bring billions to Pennsylvania and who have a Trump-endorsed election denier among their ranks.
