There was an error in the wording of our last email to you that we felt was important to correct.

The email below says that Vermont is the only state that has never sent a woman to the U.S. Senate. While Vermont is the only state that has never sent a woman to EITHER chamber of the U.S. Congress, sadly, the truth is even grimmer:

🚨17 states have NEVER been represented by a female senator.* 🚨

We felt it was important to send a correction because that statistic is one of the very reasons why our organization exists. In 2021, it’s unacceptable that the U.S. Senate is currently 76% male -- and that 17 states have never been represented by a female senator. That needs to change ASAP. It’s far past time for the women of those 17 states to have representation in the rooms where laws are being written.

We support women who are running for seats that have historically only ever been held by men. Help us prepare to fight to elect a woman to Vermont’s open seat, and all of the other seats that have only ever been represented by men, by contributing $10 today. →
