John,

For months, conservative Democrats and Republicans have voiced their
concern about the deficit and national debt. They’ve argued the United
States doesn’t have enough resources to expand Medicare, guarantee paid
leave, and address the climate crisis. Yet, these same politicians are
championing a bloated defense budget, including kickbacks for defense and
technology companies.

Soon, the Senate will vote on the $778 billion National Defense
Authorization Act, which is $37 billion more than President Trump’s last
defense budget. We can use these BILLIONS to take care of people with
Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, canceling student loan debt, housing
for all, and free public college. Bernie agrees, that’s why he won’t vote
for this military spending bill.

will vote NO on the National Defense Authorization Act.

[ [link removed] ]Are you with us against this outrageous budget? Donate what you can
today as Justice Democrats in Congress join Bernie to fight the
military-industrial complex. We need to spend less on war and more on
funding our progressive priorities.

The conservative Democrats and Republicans who fought investments for
working families and cut popular, progressive policy proposals from the
Build Back Better Act are the same members of Congress championing
needless defense spending.

No one ever asks how we can “afford” our massive military spending. Yet
Bernie and Justice Democrats have to defend investments for working
people.

We’re transforming the Democratic party so it’s a party that will fight
for climate action, housing, and health care — not defense contractors and
the military-industrial complex. [ [link removed] ]Support our work today with a
$3 donation. We don’t take a cent from defense contractor
PACs that fund Republicans and corporate Democrats, so we need your help.
