Hey Friend!

Stories shape our world, but dominant narratives in the media tend to favor the wealthiest members of our society. Jobs With Justice knows that the stories of working people matter, and we are dedicated to bringing the voices and leadership of Black and Indigenous communities to the front and center. Publishing Paid Time-Off Magazine on Labor Day was just the beginning. Jobs With Justice is going to keep building this movement using our stories, our values, and our analysis of power in 2022.

We are excited to invite you to our Winter Organizing Workshop Series to develop these skills as we welcome a new year with new (and old) battles!

When the temperature drops, we want to help you turn up the 🔥 on bad bosses and corporate greed.

Join us to brush up on your skills anconnect with other fierce organizers leading our work across the countryWe are thrilled to provide leaders like you the opportunity to sharpen your storytelling strategy and upgrade your organizing toolbox with concrete skills

We will be kicking off the series with the following trainings and workshops:

  • Narrative Power with the Center for Story-Based Strategy: Join Jobs With Justice and the Center for Story-based Strategy to practice analyzing narratives in the media, understanding what narrative power is and help you craft stories that can change the world.
  • Values Triangle: Jobs With Justice uses the triangle to access relationships and power. This tool is at the center of how we organize at Jobs With Justice. Every organization and group has a values triangle, we use the tool in order to access and help us clarify in campaigns how we are working to disrupt our oppositions power and build campaigns that help workers win. Join us for a deeper dive on how Jobs With Justice uses the triangle

  • One on Ones: We all have an entry point into our organizing and activist life, most of us had coffee or met up with an organizer who asked us about our life, about our roots, what we valued and care for in the world. They nurtured our entrance to the movement and made us see ourselves reflected in this space. This was a one on one, come through to learn how you can nurture other leaders and activists into the movement.

  • Power Analysis: We win when we have power, but how do you know what power you and the opposition have? Come learn how to create a clear power analysis to help you win campaigns and advance your work. We will review the Values Triangle and the steps we take at Jobs With Justice to analyze the institutions and structures our opposition uses to wield power.

Sign up for the first workshop on December 9th at 6:30pm EST using the link belowand stay tuned for the rest of the registration info!
