Dear John,

At a time when abortion access is hanging in the balance with some of the most oppressive restrictions being passed, we are shocked and dismayed that The Washington Post would run a puff-profile on the director of an anti-abortion fake clinic. [1]

Donate to Reproaction and our work exposing these anti-abortion fake clinics that exist to shame and manipulate people seeking abortion care.

Not only did the piece reference partaking in anti-abortion violence like blocking clinic entrances as if it were no big deal (NOTE: this hateful activity terrorizes staff and patients and is illegal under federal law), it explained how millions of dollars from the state has been siphoned away from directly serving families experiencing poverty to instead fund anti-abortion programs. It seemed to gloss over the human rights crisis of even more Texans being denied abortion care since the passing of SB8, one of the most restrictive abortion laws ever.

Since its inception, Reproaction has been fighting these dangerous anti-abortion fake clinics, including exposing the link between government funds and anti-abortion fake clinics. Help us continue against their emboldened agenda.

Anti-abortion fake clinics cause devastating harm not only to the people who visit them expecting abortion care and not receiving it, but also the greater community. We’re keeping a close eye on the attempt of Human Coalition to grab millions of dollars in the North Carolina state budget. We continue to publish our highly sought Fake Clinic Database. And we will continue to work tooth and nail to stop these anti-abortion fake clinics in their tracks.

Any piece about anti-abortion fake clinics should be about their violation of medical ethics, not about giving out an insufficient supply of diapers and wipes in exchange for an ideological lecture, a guilt trip, and a religious class. Donate to show you agree.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson
Executive Director, Reproaction

P.S. Your donations empower our Fake Clinic Database on our website. Don’t forget to use it to find anti-abortion fake clinics in your area and fight back!
