Radical Islamic militias are targeting Christians for slaughter all across Africa just because of their faith. In Nigeria, more than 120 Christian kids were kidnapped earlier this year from a Baptist school. Many have now been freed or escaped; but according to reports, dozens more helpless children are still being held for ransom by radical Islamic gunmen.
Unfortunately, this has become a way of life in Nigeria. Christian teens are abducted and forced into slavery. Christian pastors have been beheaded.
This should outrage the entire world. But too few are speaking up.
Then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo placed Nigeria on a persecution watchlist – something he credited the ACLJ with helping achieve. Now he is working with us as ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs, demanding international intervention to stop the bloodshed before it's too late.
I delivered a critical oral intervention to the U.N. Human Rights Council to demand protection for Nigeria's Christians. We've made 45 submissions to the U.N. this year, condemning persecution in some of the worst persecuting nations, like Nigeria – demanding an end to this evil. And we're already preparing our next filings.
We can help SAVE CHRISTIAN LIVES. But we face a daunting challenge. We urgently need YOU.
