Friend, despite all the challenges of this year, we're hopeful. Change is possible and UNICEF is making progress happen where children need it most.
UNICEF’s work goes beyond reacting to the latest disaster — it delivers long-lasting impacts to build a safer, happier and more just world for children. As we reflect on the new realities facing children from the pandemic and compounding crises, UNICEF has developed four long-term global advocacy priorities for action.
These priorities build on UNICEF’s program strengths and represent the ‘great equalizers,’ where swift action for children will have the most significant impact on progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for a better world. So tell us: Which of these priorities make you most hopeful for the year ahead?

Tackle the learning crisis
Without basic education, children have no chance of reaching their full potential. Every child deserves the right to learn and UNICEF is leading efforts to invest in education.
Build a global movement for vaccines
Vaccines help save lives and put an end to preventable deaths. UNICEF is advocating for vaccine affordability, availability and equity.
Protect children’s mental health
Unaddressed mental health challenges inhibit children’s development. UNICEF is committed to supporting and prioritizing the mental health of children.
Increase access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene
Climate change and limited access to essential needs threaten children’s futures. UNICEF is taking action so that children grow up in safe and sustainable environments.
Which action gives you hope?
