Our Senior Citizens need a break.
They’ve worked hard their entire lives and paid into the Social Security System.
And MANY seniors are still working through their retirement years to make ends meet.
Americans who are 75 and older have the fastest “returning to work” rate among Senior Citizens.
If you do the math, a married couple earning a “living wage” of $40,873 in Florida (including their Social Security benefits) will have taxes applied to 68% of their Social Security checks!
That’s obscene, and it needs to end.
And it’s why as a member of Congress, I support tax-free Social Security for our Seniors!

This is a no-brainer.
As Democrats scream about “living wages” and seriously consider handing monthly paychecks to millennial non-workers and illegal aliens as a new entitlement, our Seniors’ needs are ignored.
We hand them back minimal returns from a life-long investment that doesn’t even come close to matching stock market rates – and then we tax that income?
It’s wrong!
In fact, did you know that in 1983, it was then Senator Joe Biden who was the deciding vote on the 50% tax on Social Security checks!
I’m going in on day one with a plan that will ease the burden on our seniors and give them a few thousand more dollars in their pockets to pay bills, fund visits to see their grandchildren, or give them a much-deserved, more comfortable life.
