Yesterday, Senator Patrick Leahy announced that he will retire from the Senate at the end of his term. As our longest-serving senator, he always put Vermonters and our values first.

No one has served Vermont as faithfully as Patrick Leahy. His incredible tenure, alongside his wife Marcelle, made him a giant of the Senate, leading with his Vermont values of decency, honesty, and service.
