BIF has been signed into law!
And while Mad wasn’t able to release confetti at the signing yesterday, the below picture from Election Night 2018 is a good representation of how she’s feeling now that this once-in-a-generation bill has become law! More from Mad below.

Yesterday I had the privilege of being at the White House with President Biden as he signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (BIF) into law – a historic piece of legislation.
This is a huge victory for all Americans. In our Commonwealth, specifically, BIF will better the lot for every single Pennsylvanian by investing:
- $2.8 billion in our public transportation systems
- $1.4 billion to improve water systems
- $244 million to weather-proof PA homes
- $100 million to improve broadband access
- $12.9 billion to upgrade bridges and highways
In the coming months, we will be breaking ground on these and other projects included in BIF – and Pennsylvania and our nation will be better for them.
In the meantime, you can learn more about how the bill will improve our region by checking out this recent article in The Philadelphia Inquirer.
While there is always more we must do, for now I’m celebrating this bipartisan victory that will benefit my neighbors and constituents – and Americans nationwide.
Thank you for standing with me on this generationally important investment in our economy and our children’s future.
Sincerely,
Madeleine Dean
