Folks, I was beyond honored to be invited to the White House by President Biden for the signing of the historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act on Tuesday.

This is the greatest investment in our infrastructure in generations, and it represents a huge opportunity for Rhode Island. As governor, I’m committed to using these resources to improve our state’s roads, bridges, and clean energy infrastructure -- and I can’t wait to get started.

But this work won’t happen overnight, which is why I’m running for a full term as governor to ensure our state has the leadership to invest these funds wisely and secure our future. We need a Democratic governor in office who will utilize federal funding to move our state forward. We can’t afford a Republican governor who might turn down federal funds like some Republicans did with unemployment insurance this year.
