Yesterday, President Biden officially signed the Republican-backed
infrastructure bill into law and Democrats lost their biggest bargaining
chip to pass the investments for working people. Every day without action
on the accompanying Build Back Better plan is one more day without the
human infrastructure that Americans desperately need.

It’s no surprise that corporate Democrats Kyrsten Sinema and Henry Cuellar
were front and center at the White House signing ceremony. For months,
Sinema and Cuellar worked together to protect corporate interests and cut
out popular and progressive policy proposals.

Kyrsten Sinema and Henry Cuellar fought against expanding the social
safety net and investing in climate action. That is why we’re backing
Jessica Cisneros in her primary challenge against Cuellar and supporting a
full slate of progressives who won’t succumb to Sinema or Manchin’s
political games.



When we elect more Justice Democrats, we grow the power of progressives to
stand up against corporate Democrats like Cuellar, Sinema, and Manchin.

The squad we supported in 2018 — AOC, Rashida, Ayanna, and Ilhan — and our
2020 candidates, Jamaal and Cori, all stood firm in their commitment to
protecting investments for working people. Now, as we face a more
challenging fight to secure Medicare expansion, universal pre-K, paid
leave, and climate action, it’s become evident that we must elect more
progressives like them.
