Countdown to End-of-Month

Friend,

In about 24 hours, we have our October fundraising deadline, and I'll need to report back to Mark whether we hit our 400 new supporter goal or fell short this month.

Here's how it breaks down for our campaign. Hitting our monthly goals now means we can plan for the future: hiring new staff, setting ad budgets, and growing our voter registration and outreach efforts. Unfortunately, if we fall short, we'll have to scale back. With Virginia in the Trump campaign's crosshairs for 2020, we simply can't afford to do that, and that's why I'm asking for your help.

The clock is ticking, and we're still 283 supporters short of our monthly goal, so I'm reaching out to all of Mark's supporters with an urgent request. Will you chip in before tomorrow's end-of-month deadline and help Mark stay on track to win in 2020?

The fact is, Mark's GOP opponents are looking for us to fall short this month. They'll use any slip-up by this campaign as an opportunity to flip Virginia red, help re-elect Donald Trump, and defend the Republican majority in the Senate.

It'd be nice if we could just relax and coast to a victory next November, but it's just not going to be that easy. Mark won by less than 1% in 2014, and winning this time around is going to take all of us working together — hitting every goal, so we don't give his GOP opponents an opportunity to flip this seat.

We're close to our 400 new supporter goal, but we need your help before midnight on Thursday to get there. Will you chip in now?

Thanks,

Jenny Nadicksbernd
Finance Director
