Yesterday we made history. President Biden signed into law the greatest investment in our nation’s infrastructure in nearly a century. I was honored to join President Biden and my colleagues from both sides of the aisle at the White House for the signing of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law. 

The bipartisan infrastructure deal will repair our roads and bridges, upgrade Texas ports and airports, and deliver essential broadband internet services and clean drinking water to every American, while creating millions of jobs along the way. This bill makes the investments we need to grow our economy and lead the world.

As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I have been working since my first day in Congress to pass comprehensive infrastructure legislation. This long overdue investment in our country’s future will address our region’s aging infrastructure, reduce congestion, create good jobs for North Texans and boost our local economy. I am proud that after all our hard work, Republicans and Democrats finally came together to deliver this overdue infrastructure investment for the American people. 

It’s an honor to serve North Texas, where I was born and raised.
