Beto O’Rourke declared his intent to run for Texas governor this week, confirming months of speculation that he would throw his hat in the ring for Texas’s top office in 2022. His third run for office in three election cycles, O’Rourke’s announcement officially launches what is expected to be another high profile campaign, with a flood of donations from nationwide Democratic supporters to back his efforts.
