John,
First, Paul LePage spent years inflicting his hateful and divisive brand of politics on Maine as governor.
Then, as soon as Democrat Janet Mills took office, he fled to Florida -- and took his taxpayer-funded pension with him.
But now, he’s running for governor again to roll back all the progress we’ve made.
It’s obvious our state is better off without LePage’s embarrassing and destructive Trump-like rhetoric and incompetence. While LePage vetoed expanding access to health care, Governor Janet Mills has put Mainers’ health first, resulting in one of the lowest COVID case rates in the country. They’re also on the verge of passing investments in affordable child care, climate change prevention and other critical priorities -- and they’re doing it all with almost no Republican votes.
Now, just as we’re finally recovering from the pandemic and rebuilding a stronger economy, we can’t afford to let LePage’s nonsense threaten our progress.
Let’s keep LePage in Florida to hang out with Donald Trump -- right where he belongs.
Thank you,
Maine Dems
