Tomorrow evening, we’re introducing our first round of endorsed 2022 electoral candidates with the launch of our inaugural Progressive Maryland Working Families Party Slate [[link removed]] . That means this week marks our real transition into contacting voters for these key races across the state! We’re prioritizing the most urgent of these races during Throwdown Thursday this week.
In case you haven’t heard, Councilmember Monique Anderson-Walker has stepped down from her position as the representative for District 8 in the Prince George’s County Council. This triggered a special election that will take place in January — which gives us only 8 weeks to secure a victory for progressive candidate Edward Burroughs .
We’ve got lots of work to do, so join us this Thursday to make calls to voters in Prince George’s County District 8 in support of Edward Burroughs’s County Council campaign.
