Friends — everyone deserves to have delicious and healthy food on
Thanksgiving (and every day, for that matter.)

That’s why I’m joining Councilmember-Elect Marjorie Velazquez for a Food
and Health Empowerment Fair in the Bronx on Saturday, November 20th at
noon.

[ [link removed] ]An RSVP is not required, but if you are able, please make a
contribution to help us purchase 150 more turkeys for the event. The cost
of a wholesale turkey is $28, so we are asking for that amount, but any
amount you can give will help.

In addition to the food distribution, I am looking forward to a fruitful
discussion on how we can combat food insecurity in the Bronx. I hope to
