Folks,
In just a moment, I’m going to ask for a contribution before our mid-month fundraising deadline tonight. But first, I want to tell you my story — so take a seat and settle in.
I grew up on my family’s farm and it’s still home today. When I was a kid, I lost three fingers on my left hand while working in our family’s butcher shop. I don’t even remember putting my hand there — but I can damn sure remember rushing to a local doctor.
Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t know of anyone else in Washington who looks like me — with a $12 flattop haircut, a collection of dirt-stained t-shirts, and just seven fingers.
That’s why I ran for office — because I didn’t see anyone in our government representing folks from communities like mine. Someone who’d get to work to help folks like those I grew up with, who’d take action on climate change, fix our crumbling infrastructure, and expand access to health care.
I’m proud to say that I’m delivering on these promises, thanks to our Democratic majority in the Senate.
With the passage of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, we’re delivering critical investments in our country that will make a real difference in people’s everyday lives. And with the 2022 midterms now less than a year away, it’s never been more important to defend our Democratic majority so we can continue delivering for the American people and pass our Build Back Better legislation.
That’s why I’m humbly asking you to chip in what you can toward our mid-month goal before our deadline expires at midnight. Senate Democrats can continue to deliver — but only if we protect our slim majority.

Thanks for chipping in. I’m proud of this grassroots team — and I’ll never stop fighting for you.
