Good news: The fifth round of tax cuts from the expanded Child Tax Credit landed in parents’ bank accounts yesterday.
The expanded Child Tax Credit is helping parents' hard work pay off, and helping working families in Ohio and across the country keep up with the cost of living:
A mother in Dayton is using her tax cut for some of the unexpected expenses that come up while raising three teenagers and a baby.
A mother from Toledo said she’s using her tax cut to pay for groceries, school supplies, and uniforms.
A father from Kettering said the Child Tax Credit has put child care within reach for his family so he and his partner can find jobs and return to work.
That’s what’s great about the expanded Child Tax Credit -- it empowers parents.
Now, I want to hear YOUR family’s Child Tax Credit story. Please take a minute to share what your tax cut has meant for you and your family. >> [[link removed]]
That same father from Kettering said that for the first time he feels like the government has his back.
That’s because it does. For the first time, working families are regaining a little power in our economy because the Biden Administration and Democrats are putting working families first in every piece of legislation, every policy.
I’m working with Senate Democrats to extend the expanded Child Tax Credit, because raising kids is work. We should empower families and allow all the hard work they're already doing to pay off.
With gratitude,
Sherrod
