Hi John,

Congress has just approved a bipartisan effort to transform America’s infrastructure, providing critical funds for mass transit, safe drinking water and electric vehicle infrastructure. But this is only the beginning.

Now our leaders in the House will take on the long awaited Build Back Better Act, a groundbreaking piece of legislation that will modernize our nation’s electrical grid, eliminate lead service lines, accelerate the transition to clean energy and generate thousands of jobs across the U.S.

This is our opportunity to invest over $550 billion into climate and clean energy! But only if our Representatives act now and pass this once-in-a-generation bill. Message your leader and urge him or her to support the Build Back Better Act! [link removed]

If passed, this would be the single largest climate investment in American history — transforming our transportation, energy and manufacturing sectors for the better. By putting climate at the heart of these industries we can tackle the largest sources of pollution and avert the worst impacts of climate change.

By supporting this bill you’ll stand for real, tangible climate action — including efforts to:

1. Accelerate the adoption of zero-emission vehicles: Accelerating clean vehicle technologies will tackle America’s largest source of pollution — the transportation sector. The Build Back Better Act will facilitate the deployment of cleaner transit, buses and trucks — providing cleaner public transportation options and new tax credits to make EVs more accessible than ever.

2. Invest in clean energy technology: From wind turbines and solar panels, to electric vehicle technology (for clean trucks, buses and cars), this bill has critical incentives that will establish the U.S. as a global leader in clean energy — creating new, good-paying union jobs across the nation.

3. Boost climate resilience: The threat of drought, fires, flooding and sea level rise has never been worse. That’s why this bill will invest in natural solutions to climate change through a historic investment in coastal restoration, forest management, and soil conservation — providing resources for farmers, ranchers, and forestland owners and supporting their efforts to reduce emissions.

4. Create hundreds of thousands of clean jobs: Building Back Better means reimagining our economy, by creating a new Civilian Climate Corps — with over 300,000 members who reflect America. This diverse new workforce will conserve our public lands, bolster community resilience, and address the changing climate, all while putting good-paying jobs within reach for more Americans.

But for any of this to be possible, we need Congress to meet the moment and vote yes on this bill. It’s time to transform our country for the better. Tell your members of Congress to invest in a cleaner, stronger, thriving America by passing the Build Back Better Act. [link removed]

Thank you for your leadership,
