Friend,
Tomorrow, we’ll close the books on a major deadline for my campaign. I hope you’ll give me a moment to explain why it’s so important we stay on track with our fundraising goals.
We know that it’s going to take a lot of resources to make sure voters in my district know about the work I’m doing to fight for them every day in Congress. The campaign needs to stay on track now, so next year we have the resources for these things and more:
-
Paid campaign staff to organize volunteers
-
Campaign information literature for voters
-
Paid TV and radio ads to get our message out
-
A campaign office
I’m fighting to reform our campaign finance laws, so we can get rid of the big money that makes our elections so expensive. Unfortunately, Mitch McConnell has refused to put H.R. 1, the comprehensive government reform bill that the House passed, to a vote in the Senate.
Until we make those changes, we need to make sure we have the resources to compete with outside special interest spending and the millions my self-funding opponent will pour in.
All I ask for is a level playing field. But because I don’t take corporate PAC money, I have to rely on generous grassroots supporters to help fund my re-election campaign.
Can you chip in before our end of month deadline tomorrow night to help my campaign pay for these things and more?

Thanks for your support,
Susan Wild
