John - We need you to call your Congressperson TODAY and demand that Congress pass the Build Back Better bill this week. |
John —
Congress is returning to Washington, D.C. this week and plans to finally vote on the Build Back Better plan. This is a HUGE moment for all of the work we’ve done over the last year — and a moment when we can deliver a huge win for domestic workers, caregivers and more!
Will you call your Congressperson TODAY and urge them to vote for the Build Back Better Bill? You should make a call today — even if you've called before. Calling only takes a few minutes but has a huge impact.
When you call, whether someone picks up or you have to leave a voice message, all you have to do is introduce yourself and then say:
"I am calling to ask my Congressperson to vote in favor of the Build Back Better bill this week, and include lasting protections for immigrants and full funding for home & community-based services.”
President Biden, Speaker Pelosi and others committed to standing up for caregivers and working class families by passing the Build Back Better Act out of the House THIS WEEK. We need them to keep that promise. Take action today: Call your Congressperson and tell them it's time to pass the Build Back Better plan NOW.
Thanks for all that you do,
Care Team
National Domestic Workers Alliance
Thank you for being a dedicated supporter of the National Domestic Workers Alliance!
We're working day and night to win respect, recognition, and labor rights and protections for the more than 2.5 million nannies, house cleaners, and homecare workers.
The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
